STAT: Survey Tips and Tactics
Discover how nursing homes are being cited with the re-start of annual surveys. The Long-Term Care Survey Process and regulatory language will be reviewed. Each month participants will delve into a specific survey topic. Common citation examples will be given with interactive discussion from members sharing their experiences with the re-start. Obtain useful tips, tactics and resources for the monthly highlighted topic.
Each webinar is a separate virtual event. Registration is required for each.

This session will include review of infection control specific citations from annual surveys and focused infection control surveys. How noncompliance results in citations will be discussed. Regulatory language and recommended standards of practice for infection control and review of CDC recommendations will be given. CMS and CDC resources and training opportunities will be shared.

This session will include a review of the trends in immediate jeopardy and harm citations. Top cited areas will be discussed with citation examples given. Immediate plan of correction considerations will be identified. Regulatory language and recommended standards of practice will be shared.

Regulatory language and standards of practice in quality of care will be reviewed. Assessment, interventions, and monitoring standards will be discussed. Substitution and Cancellation Policy: Substitutions, in writing, are welcome at no additional cost. Cancellations received by two calendar weeks prior to event date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be issued 6 or fewer days prior to the event date.

1.0 contact/clock hours will be awarded upon successful completion. Pending BELTSS approval.
Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at entire event and submission of completed evaluation form.
